28th Presiding Bishop & Primate
The Most Rev. Sean W. Rowe was elected presiding bishop and primate of The Episcopal Church in June 2024 and took office on Nov. 1 for a nine-year term. In this role, he serves as the church’s chief pastor and CEO. Known for his expertise in organizational learning and adaptive change, Rowe is committed to strengthening support for local ministry and mission.
He was ordained bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Northwestern Pennsylvania in 2007 after serving as rector of St. John’s in Franklin, Pennsylvania, for seven years. From 2014 to 2018, he served as bishop provisional of the Episcopal Diocese of Bethlehem, and from 2019 to 2024, he led a partnership between the Episcopal Dioceses of Northwestern Pennsylvania and Western New York.
Rowe holds a bachelor’s degree in history from Grove City College, a Master of Divinity degree from Virginia Theological Seminary, and a doctorate in organizational learning and leadership from Gannon University. He has served as a leader of many civic and churchwide organizations and governance bodies, and as parliamentarian for the House of Bishops.

Roundtable Fellowship with Haley is in the Library at 9:30 for parents & anyone wanting to join in a time of discussion and a deeper discovery into our faith and connection together.
Our annual family retreat this summer is to Spring Lakes Ranch July 17-19th. This is a special treat for our families at Emmanuel because of the gift of the Kreps Fund. We had a blast last year and made bonds with families during this experience. If you are marking your calendar and planning to attend please let me know so I can start planning rooms and food! The last day to join the fun will be May 17th! If you are interested in more information please let me know and I will send it your way!

April 26th - No Sunday School:Fr Matt will be out celebrating the Marriage of his daughter. We will have Fr. Christopher visiting with a Welcome Lunch to follow.
May 3rd - Regular Sunday continues with Fr. Matt & Ms. Kim in the Undercroft and Roundtable Fellowship w/Haley in the Library.
May 10th - Regular Sunday School in the Undercroft at 9:30. We will have an outdoor 10:30 service in observance of Rogation Sunday.
May 17th - Regular Sunday with Fr. Matt & Ms. Kim in the Undercroft and No Roundtable Fellowship this Sunday with Haley in the Library.
May 24th - Pentecost Kid Friendly Church at 9:30

May 31st - No Sunday School We will have the Bishop Visiting this Sunday
Nursery care for children 5 years of age and younger is provided on Sundays and at other special services during the year.
The Sunday Nursery is open from 9 a.m. until after the 10:30 a.m. worship service.
The Nursery is located in the Administration Building, directly across the hallway from the church office.
